5) A health care or medical care power of attorney allows agents to make health care decisions for directors as soon as they become incapacitated.
While one doesn't need to be a lawyer to become a POA, it can. A lawyer is usually involved, but only for document preparation. Power of attorney documents is generally not submitted to court unless summoned or related to certain real estate transactions.
