Food safety is related to health and quality of life. Therefore, more and more attention is paid to the social responsibility of the food industry to ensure food safety. Factors and mechanisms influencing participation in food safety certification are important issues in this area.
Existing studies on factors affecting food safety certification mainly focus on the impact of one or more factors. The following results were obtained. State-Owned Enterprises strive to obtain food safety certificates. Companies with high media coverage tend to achieve food safety certification with the help of Massachusetts certification classes.

In state-owned enterprises, small companies may have a higher level of food safety concern in the mission statement for the company to obtain a Food Safety Certificate, and large company sizes may increase media coverage. can encourage companies to obtain food safety certificates.
If non-governmental enterprises highlight food safety issues in the mission statement and the media coverage is relatively high, the company will receive a food safety certificate. This study offers a new perspective on food safety research and offers advice to governments and the public sector on how to monitor corporate food safety issues.
The reasons companies may request a food safety certificate vary. Therefore, research has been conducted to examine the motivations that drive certification, which can be broken down into internal and external motivations. Internal motivation comes from the perspective of company management through food safety certification.
